A world-class field heads to The Renaissance Club for the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open.

The $9m Rolex Series event, played over 9-12 July, represents one final chance for competitors to fine-tune their skills ahead of The Open

The Genesis Scottish Open will be headlined by world number one Scottie Scheffler and Masters champion Rory McIlroy

McIlroy is making his first start since the U.S. Open whilst Scheffler tees up for the first time since the Travelers Championship.

America's Chris Gotterup, who won last week's John Deere Classic, will look to become the first back-to-back winner of the Genesis Scottish Open.

Major winners Wyndham Clark, Matt Fitzpatrick, Shane Lowry, Aaron Rai, Xander Schauffele, J.J. Spaun and Justin Thomas are also playing.

European Ryder Cup stars Tommy Fleetwood and Ludvig Aberg also add to the star power.

Scotland's Robert MacIntyre, who won his national open in 2024, is sure to be roared outside the gallery ropes.

Elsewhere, there was some confusion over Brooks Koepka's eligibility, with the American previously listed as a withdrawal

But the five-time major champ is playing the co-sanctioned PGA Tour event as one of three sponsor's invites.

There are also several LIV Golf League players competing.

Jon Rahm is technically making his first start on the PGA Tour since the 2023 Tour Championship.

The Spaniard will still be ineligible for PGA Tour reinstatement even if he wins in Scotland.

Other LIV players competing in the Genesis Scottish Open include Laurie Canter, Tyrrell Hatton, Tom McKibbin, Adrian Meronk and Victor Perez.
