Brandel Chamblee fires back at Anthony Kim and burns Phil Mickelson in process

Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee hits back at LIV Golf's Anthony Kim on Twitter.

Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee has fired back at LIV Golf's Anthony Kim in an explosive exchange between the two on Twitter / X.

Kim, who is the latest signing by the Saudi-bankrolled LIV Golf League, opened the batting by calling one-time PGA Tour winner Chamblee a 'pu**y'.

This came just hours after Chamblee made a sensational U-turn on his feelings about Saudi investment into the PGA Tour.

Anthony Kim has unloaded on Brandel Chamblee

From once describing the PGA Tour's shock merger with the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) has 'one of the saddest days in pro golf' on 6 June 2023, Chamblee admitted the circuit must accept a deal with PIF since it's now the 'better end of the bargain'.

Kim took to Twitter late on Friday afternoon and tweeted:

"Ramble Chamblee @chambleebrandel ur such a pussy 4 beating on ur chest & basically saying never retreat & hypocritically retreat. It is well known this talentless fool is disliked by most people in the golf world. U still gonna cover golf if @livgolf_league is involved?"

The breakaway tour's recent excursion to Adelaide marked Kim's fourth LIV appearance.

So far, Kim has finished 53-50-53-54 in the 54-man fields.

Overall, Kim's score to par is a whopping 46-over par through 12 competitive rounds.

Kim does not play for a LIV team yet and is instead playing this campaign as a 'wildcard'.

That being said, he is still bottom of the individual standings and is yet to register a single point.

Chamblee has changed his tune on PGA Tour, PIF deal

Knowing full well that Kim has not enjoyed the best start to his professional comeback, Chamblee fired back at him in a lengthy response.

In the process, Chamblee also took shots at LIV Golf's Phil Mickelson.

Chamblee tweeted:

"This is about as inaccurate as a lot of Mickelson’s drives and sadly ironical coming two tweets after you asked for advice on raising your daughter that you would refer to someone as a female body part in a juvenile attempt to denigrate them. It’s clear that you were not offered disability for your pithy takes. As for your criticism of me saying a deal with the Saudis is the best deal for golf right now, it’s something I’ve said recently, because I don’t think the Saudis are going to turn away from the game and they will continue to be a poaching threat and dilute the product of the PGA Tour. It’s the sad reality of you and your brethren on the LIV tour willingly dealing with a murderous dictator for profit so that he can hide his atrocities, that golf has had to try to figure out how to mitigate the influence of MBS, PIF and LIV in the otherwise philanthropical and merit based world of professional golf. Now why don’t you get back to doing what you formerly did best, which is to wow the world with your talent. I don’t like LIV for a lot of reasons, but I certainly enjoyed your golf and would love to see you playing anything like the semblance of the golfer you used to be."
