Bryson DeChambeau sends golf fans wild as he breaks silence over one-time PGA Tour offer
LIV Golf superstar Bryson DeChambeau has sent golf social media into a frenzy with his latest social media post in light of a possible return to the PGA Tour. Will he stick or twist in 2026?
Bryson DeChambeau has sent golf social media into meltdown with his latest Instagram Story just 24 hours after Brooks Koepka made a sensational return to the PGA Tour.
The PGA Tour not only allowed five-time major champion Koepka to returrn this month, but the circuit also opened the door ajar for DeChambeau, Jon Rahm and Cameron Smith to follow suit should they wish to join.
On Monday, the PGA Tour confirmed Koepka's reinstatement after the former World No.1 made a shock decision to quit LIV Golf on 23 December.
Koepka has been permitted to return via a time-sensitive returning members policy that was unveiled on Monday by the PGA Tour's newly-appointed Brian Rolapp.
The new policy permits LIV players who have won a major or The Players Championship between 2022-2025 to return.
That means the only LIV players eligible to return are Koepka, DeChambeau, Rahm and Smith - and not Phil Mickelson because he won the US PGA in 2021.
Under the new rule, players have until 2 February to make up their minds.
Rather fittingly, that is just before the first LIV Golf League event of the new season in Riyadh.
Koepka has obviously already taken the PGA Tour up on their proposal, and he will make his comeback at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in two weeks time.
But the others now have a decision to make.
Do they stick on the LIV Golf, or twist back to the PGA Tour?
The move comes with consequence though.
Koepka will not receive player equity on the PGA Tour for the next five years to 2030.
He also won't receive any FedEx Cup bonus money, and he will need to make a $5m charitable donation of his choice.
Koepka will, however, be eligible to compete on the US Presidents Cup team in September.

Could Rahm, Smith and DeChambeau all follow Koepka through the PGA Tour door?
Well, two of them are definitely out.
While not yet official statements, it's understood both Rahm and Smith have elected to remain on the LIV Golf League.
Smith has reportedly rejected the PGA Tour's offer, and Rahm has no interest either.
That just leaves two-time US Open champion DeChambeau left to make a call.

Will Bryson DeChambeau leave LIV Golf and return to the PGA Tour?
There have been rumours in the industry that DeChambeau is not going to extend his LIV Golf contract when it ends next season.
But on the flip side, other reports such as one from The Telegraph suggests DeChambeau is expected to see his $500m demands fulfilled in order to remain a LIV Golf player past 2026.
However, nothing is yet confirmed and talks are said to be ongoing between DeChambeau and LIV Golf's bankrollers, the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF).
DeChambeau, who is the captain of Crushers GC, had initially committed himself to the 2026 LIV Golf League season.
A recent press release from the Crushers confirmed all four players - DeChambeau, Charles Howell III, Paul Casey and Anirban Lahiri - would remain on board for 2026.
But after Monday's shock update involving Koepka and possible others, has the situation suddenly changed for the popular American.
DeChambeau has three weeks to make a decision that potentially might not come around again.
So what's he thinking right now?
Well, he's in deep contemplation mode by the looks of his latest Instagram Story.
DeChambeau has posted a photo of him shrugging his shoulders with a topical exit sign in the background.
He also posted a question box to his followers that read: 'What would you do?'
