Jon Rahm reportedly has zero interest in entertaining the PGA Tour's offer to return alongside Brooks Koepka

Koepka, 36, quit LIV Golf on 23 December and there was intense speculation as to what his future would look like.

It was quickly established the nine-time PGA Tour winner was seeking a return to the established North American circuit.

He applied to get his membership back three days ago and he has already secured an immediate return

PGA Tour CEO, Brian Rolapp, announced on Monday that Koepka was given the green light under the 'returning member program'.

Only players who have won a major championship, or the Players Championship, between 2022-2025 are eligible.

In other words, the program was only for Koepka, Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau and former Open champion Cameron Smith.

Under the program, the players only have until 2 February to make up their minds. LIV Golf's season begins on 4 February.

The Tour said upon expiration there is no guarantee that future offers may be the same.

Rahm is currently in Florida doing a media week to promote LIV's fourth season which begins next month.

He joined LIV in December 2023 and suggested before his title defence at The Masters that he believed his decision to jump ship would be the tipping point to bring the warring tours closer together.

Rahm has placed on record that he misses playing certain PGA Tour events, particularly the WM Phoenix Open that is a stone's throw from where he resides in Arizona with his wife Kelley.

Would he entertain the offer?

TenGolf are reporting Rahm has no desire to accept and will tee up at LIV's curtain-raiser in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

What is Brooks Koepka's punishment?

Koepka's decision to return will be costly.

He will make an agreed-upon charity donation of $5m (£3.7m) ahead of making a return and will not be eligible for PGA Tour equity grants for five years.

He will also not receive FedEx Cup bonus money in 2026 and he cannot play signature events unless he earns his way in.

Koepka is otherwise free to play a full schedule this season and has committed to the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines later this month and will also play in the WM Phoenx Open at TPC Scottsdale.

What has Brooks Koepka said?

Koepka gave a brief telephone interview to Golfweek's Eamon Lynch on Monday.

He said he has "a lot of work" to do to rebuild relationships with other members.

"The penalty is significant but I understand why they've done it," he said.

"It hurts but it’s supposed to. I’ve got a lot of work to do with the players and I want to do that one-on-one.

"I want to have those conversations, but behind closed doors."

What are the chances Bryson DeChambeau takes up the offer?

Bryson DeChambeau's contract with LIV Golf expires at the end of 2026.

He told reporters before the Ryder Cup he was keen to stay and hoped to get a new deal signed as soon as possible.

But in recent weeks DeChambeau has cast doubt on his future, telling FlushingIt that he wanted the league to improve

Some have suggested DeChambeau is simply flexing his muscles and is attempting to add zeros to his eventual offer.

DeChambeau claimed if a deal isn't agreed then he would "be fine" simply playing in the majors and making content on YouTube.

Still, it doesn't seem likely we'll be seeing DeChambeau back on the PGA Tour soon.

It won't be forgotten that DeChambeau was among a group of 11 players that sued the Tour in 2022.

What about Cameron Smith?

Like DeChambeau, it seems unlikely that Cameron Smith is mulling over the offer, despite where his game is currently at.

Smith endured a disastrous major campaign in 2025, missing cuts at The Masters, PGA Championship, U.S. Open and The Open.

But his wife Shanel recently gave birth to their first child and the couple seem very happy residing in Australia.

Smith complained of his burdensome travel schedule after he joined LIV.
