Dean Burmester defeated Jon Rahm and Josele Ballester with a birdie on the first playoff hole to win his second title at LIV Golf Chicago.
Burmester, 36, lost his two-shot overnight lead as early as the 3rd when falling out the gate with three straight bogeys.
But the South African dusted himself down with birdies on the 5th, 12th and 16th to get back to the top of the board.
Rahm and Ballester then birdied the 18th to join Burmester out in front and the trio headed into a three-way playoff back down the par-4 18th.
Burmester hit the best approach shot on the first extra hole to within seven feet and he duly converted the putt.
He punched the air in delight and then hugged his caddie Jason Reynolds.
The win marked Burmester's second on LIV Golf and first since winning LIV Golf Miami in April 2024.
Burmester is a four-time winner on the DP World Tour .

The final round was made even sweeter for Burmester when his Stinger GC were crowned team champions.
Louis Oosthuizen's Stinger GC defeated Joaquin Niemann's Torque GC to end a 31-event drought for them.
LIV Golf Chicago marked the penultimate event of the regular season.
Rahm's runner-up finish still gives him a chance of being able to defend his LIV Golf Individual Championship title.
Niemann, who leads the way after five wins this season, finished down the board in a tie for 17th at LIV Golf Chicago.
