An emotional Anthony Kim declared he's not out to prove anyone wrong after he secured a return to LIV Golf.
Kim shocked the world of men's golf in 2024 when he announced a return to the sport after a 12-year absence.
The American stepped away from the PGA Tour in 2012 after battling a string of injuries.
He later told of how his life spiralled downwards, with the golfer becoming addicted to drugs and falling victim to scam artists.
Kim finished his first LIV Golf season the drop zone but was given a reprieve as the league didn't enforce relegation.
That rule changed last season and when he finished in the drop zone for the second time there was speculation he would retire again.
Yet vowed to continue and outlined his desire to play the 2026 season on the Asian Tour's International Series.
But now he does not need to after securing an immediate return to LIV Golf as one of three players to earn wildcard status at their Promotions event.
Kim fired rounds of 69, 66 and 69 at Black Diamond Ranch in Florida to finish on a total score of six-under par.
He rode his luck in the final round, carding three birdies alongside four birdies. A dropped shot at the 18th did not matter.
Canada's Richard T. Lee and Sweden's Bjorn Hellgren will join Kim in the LIV Golf League this season, which kicks off on 4 February.
Zimbabwe's Kieran Vincent, who played in Jon Rahm's LIV side last season, was one of four players that finished fourth on three-under.
Former European Ryder Cup member Chris Wood made it through to the final round but came up four strokes short.

Kim was once one of the PGA Tour's hottest prospects.
In 2008, he became the first American under the age of 25 since Tiger Woods to win two PGA Tour events in the same year.
Kim was also the youngest member of the United States' victorious 2008 Ryder Cup side, taking two-and-a-half points from four matches at the age of 23 during Europe's defeat at Valhalla.
That week also included a memorable victory over Sergio Garcia in the Sunday singles.
In the years that followed, the former world number six had multiple injuries, leading to a spinal fusion, shoulder surgeries and a hand operation.
After securing his return with LIV Golf, Kim said he's not out to prove anyone wrong.
"I'm here to prove myself right," he said. "I've worked so hard.
"And this little girl here [daughter Bella] is one of the reasons why.
"Obviously my wife has been so supportive and I've had so much support behind me the last two years."
Kim also made the bold prediction that he will win golf tournaments soon.
