Majesticks GC make key contract decision ahead of 2026 LIV Golf season
England's Sam Horsfield has re-signed with Majesticks GC for 2026.

Majesticks GC have made a big early statement ahead of 2026 — and it centres around one of the most important figures in their locker room.
Sam Horsfield isn’t going anywhere as he has re-signed with Majesticks Golf Club for 2026.
The 29-year-old Englishman has been part of the Majesticks furniture since joining LIV Golf back in 2022 and has grown into a central figure in the team’s identity – both on the course and behind the scenes.
Despite being the youngest member of the squad, Horsfield has become a driving force within the group, bringing energy, confidence and modern edge to a team led by experienced campaigners Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood. His enthusiasm has blended seamlessly with their know-how, helping shape the direction of Majesticks GC as they continue to evolve.
Horsfield’s recommitment, combined with the recent arrival of Laurie Canter, underlines Majesticks’ intent heading into 2026.
Canter joined the team this season following Henrik Stenson’s departure after relegation in 2025, completing what the club believe is an elite, balanced lineup for the year ahead.
On the fairways, Horsfield has delivered steady returns across his first three LIV Golf seasons. His standout performance came at LIV Golf Nashville in 2024, where he finished runner-up – and he’s made no secret of his desire to go one better and land his first LIV Golf title, racking up maximum points for Majesticks in the process.

Away from tournament pressure, Horsfield has also played a vital role in Majesticks GC’s Little Sticks programme, regularly giving his time to support the initiative and inspire youngsters by using golf as a tool for wider life lessons.
"I’m so happy to re-sign with Majesticks Golf Club for the 2026 LIV Golf season,” Horsfield said. “I joined this team back in 2022 and have absolutely loved the journey so far. I’m so excited heading into the new season and am confident it can be our best yet. I’m really looking forward to playing alongside our new teammate, Laurie, and hope to bring my best this year for our fans around the world and to help the team reach our goals.”
Majesticks Co-General Manager James Dunkley believes Horsfield’s best years are still ahead of him.
"Sam is a big part of our team and is growing with each season he plays,” Dunkley said. “He’s becoming more experienced on the tour in his own right and has shown the potential that he could bring home plenty of points for us this season. We love the make-up and dynamics of the team we’ve put together for the season ahead, and Sam is integral to that.”
Fellow Co-General Manager Oliver Banks echoed that view, pointing to Horsfield’s rapid development and growing leadership.
"Sam is a fantastic team player and a key part of our group,” Banks said. “He’s grown tremendously in maturity and is ready to take the next step with us as we shape our ambitions for the year ahead. I’m excited to see what we can accomplish together in 2026.”
With Horsfield re-signed and momentum building, Majesticks GC are making it clear: this team is built to push forward – and they believe their youngest star is ready to lead the charge.
