Meet the players fighting for a LIV Golf exemption in 2026
The International Series comes to a close at this week's Saudi International and the top two in the order of merit will be fully exempt in the LIV Golf League next season.
The International Series comes to a conclusion this week at the PIF Saudi International.
In addition to the bumper prize purse of $5m, the top two players in the order of merit will receive full exemptions to compete in the LIV Golf League in 2026.
At this stage, Scott Vincent is in pole position to earn his position back with LIV 12 months after being relegated.
His twin brother Kieran, who was once part of Jon Rahm's Legion XIII outfit, was also relegated in the same year.
Let's take a look at the other golfers in contention at the top of the standings.
Yosuke Asaji
The 32-year-old Japanese golfer sits second in the International Series rankings on 285.30 points.
He has played in six events so far and vaulted up the rankings with a second-place finish in the Philippines.
Asaji backed up that strong performance a week later with his first win in six years at the Moutai Singapore Open, earning $360,000.
Miguel Tabuena
Like Asaji, Tabuena has hit form at the right time. A victory in the Philippines saw him jump up to third.
Ollie Schniederjans
Schniederjans was once a highly-rated prospect expected to win multiple PGA Tour events.
But the former top-ranked Amateur's career has not panned out how he would've hoped.
He came close to securing a LIV card at the Promotions tournament last December but lost in a dramatic play-off.
Schniederjans filled in as a reserve for LIV this season.
Wade Ormsby
Australia's Ormsby is no stranger to LIV, having played in their beta-test 2022 season.
Ormsby played the entire season as the captain of 'Punch GC' but was dropped by LIV.
Over recent years, he has functioned primarily as a reserve.
His victory at the Jakarta International Championship means he is in contention for one of two spots available.
