Tyrrell Hatton is now the 'primary target' for Jon Rahm's LIV Golf team after Tommy Fleetwood rejected an improved offer from the breakaway tour, according to a report.

Per Telegraph Sport, Rahm has turned to Hatton after Fleetwood and the young Dane Nicolai Højgaard rejected offers from LIV.

At the time of publication there are 14 days until LIV begins their third campaign in Mexico.

Rahm still hasn't confirmed who will be in his team of four players nor has he revealed what his side will be called.

Reports have suggested he was keen on Los Toros or Legion XIII

Hatton is an obvious, high-profile target for Rahm to go after considering the Englishman and the Spaniard were a formidable pairing at the 2023 Ryder Cup in Italy.

In news conferences they spoke fondly of each other.

The duo defeated Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns on day one of last September's contest and later saw off the American pairing of Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay

Hatton and his camp have consistently denied any interest from LIV.

But like Rahm, LIV appear more than prepared to test Hatton's resolve.

Hatton, 32, is currently ranked No. 15 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Rahm previously tried to lure Tony Finau from the PGA Tour but the American appeared to have a change of heart.

Amid intense speculation, the American posted a clear message on Instagram: "I'm not leaving."

There have been reports Rahm was also keen on Wyndham Clark joining his LIV side.

The 2023 U.S. Open champion, according to FlushingIt on X, has been in talks with LIV since last December, but that deals appears to have fallen through.

The same account broke the news Rahm was joining LIV in a deal that is said to be worth £450m.
