AIG Women's Open Prize Money: Miyu Yamashita lands record first prize at AIG Women's Open

Japan's Miyu Yamashita scooped a record AIG Women's Open first prize of $1.462m after clinching her first major title and first victory on the LPGA at Royal Porthcawl in Wales.
Yamashita, 24, became the fourth Japanese player to win a major over the past two seasons.
The 13-time winner on the LPGA of Japan Tour carded a final round 70 to finish the week on 11-under and two shots clear of her compatriot Minami Katsu and home British favourite Charley Hull.

Despite recording her fourth career runner-up in the majors, Hull, 29, admitted she was "proud" of her efforts especially after feeling low coming into the week.
The English superstar also made a shock confession after the AIG Women's Open.
Hull and Katsu each took home cheques for $829,742.
The 2025 AIG Women's Open had a record prize purse of $9.75m.
That was up from $9.5m in 2024.
