Nelly Korda replaced as World No.1 by Jeeno Thitikul after AIG Women's Open
Nelly Korda has been replaced as Ladies World No.1 for the first time in 72 weeks after slumping to a T36 at the AIG Women's Open.

Nelly Korda's streak of 71 weeks as Ladies World No.1 is over after finishing well down the field at the AIG Women's Open at Royal Porthcawl.
Korda, 27, finished a disappointing T36 on 3-over par in the season's final major of the season in Wales.
The American needed to finish the tournament inside the top 25 in order to remain out in front.
Korda has now been dethroned as the World No.1 by Thailand's Jeeno Thitikul, who finished T30 on 1-over par at the AIG Women's Open.
Thitikul will now become World No.1 when the Rolex Rankings update on Monday morning.
She has only been World No.1 once before.
That came for just weeks in November 2022.
Her official first name is Atthaya but she is better known as Jeeno.
The update of Korda losing top spot in the world has stunned a number of golf fans on social media.
That's because the American held a huge lead atop the rankings after winning seven times on the LPGA in 2024.

Thitikul, 22, has only won once on the LPGA this season.
That came at the Mizuho Americas Open in May.
It marked her fifth LPGA title.
Thitikul has yet to win a major despite a number of close calls, none more so than this season when losing a playoff to Grace Kim at the Evian Championship last month.

Korda won seven times on the LPGA in 2024 to take her tally to 15 career wins on the circuit.
It saw her build a huge lead in the Rolex Rankings.
Korda moved back to World No.1 for the sixth time of her career in March 2025.
But the two-time major champion has looked a shadow of her best this season without a single win to her name.
As a result it has seen her lose a lot of points and fall back to second in the world.
Korda has been World No.1 for a total of 108 weeks in her career.
Thitikul will only be narrowly clear of Korda when the rankings update on Monday so the American will have a chance to return to the top of world order once again at the CPKC Women's Open in two weeks time.
