Kai Trump reveals why she is avoiding college parties at Miami
The Miami freshman has revealed why her golf commitments are leaving little time for the traditional college experience.
Kai Trump has made an honest admission about her first few weeks of college, revealing that she is putting golf and her studies ahead of partying during her freshman year at the University of Miami.
Trump, the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump and granddaughter of U.S. President Donald Trump, is embarking on her collegiate golf career with the Miami Hurricanes after joining the program as part of the 2026 signing class.
For many college freshmen, the first year can be as much about experiencing life away from home as it is about studying. Parties and social events are often considered a major part of the college experience.
But that does not appear to be high on Kai Trump's list of priorities.

Speaking about her life as a student-athlete, Trump admitted that her demanding schedule has left her with little opportunity to experience Miami away from the golf course.
"College life is fun. When you're a student athlete, that makes it hard to be honest with you," said Trump.
She explained that her days begin extremely early, with a typical 5am wake-up, while she does not usually go to sleep until around 10:30pm.
That schedule has also meant she has barely had the opportunity to explore her new surroundings.
"I feel like I haven't really explored Miami yet because I'm so busy with the golf and stuff like that," Trump said.
"I'm here for golf. I'm not here to party in Miami so I guess it's okay."

Kai Trump begins collegiate golf career
Trump is currently getting her first taste of college golf, competing as an individual for Miami in the Golfweek Fall Challenge at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawley's Island, South Carolina.
The 54-hole tournament began on Sunday and concludes on Tuesday, with Trump making her collegiate debut in the orange, green and white.
Her opening round proved challenging. Trump carded a 7-over 78 and finished the first day tied for 102nd in the 120-player field. Keep track of scores here.
There will be plenty of time for improvement as she adjusts to the demands of collegiate golf, but her decision to commit to Miami has been a long time coming.
Kai committed to the Hurricanes in August 2024 before officially joining the program as part of Miami's 2026 recruiting class.
She made her LPGA debut when receiving a sponsor's invite at The Annika in November 2025, but she missed the cut on 18-over par.

Kai is the daughter of Vanessa Trump, who is the girlfriend of golf legend Tiger Woods.
Vanessa, who recently confirmed her diagnosis with breast cancer, supported Woods during his court appearance in Florida on Wednesday.
The 15-time major champion received a five-year driving ban following his car crash and DUI arrest on 27 March.
Tiger's son Charlie Woods was also in action over the weekend.
The17-year-old finished a highly respectable tied eighth in the Junior Players Championship at famed TPC Sawgrass.
Charlie signed a new deal with TaylorMade last week, the same equipment brand that supports his father.
