KPMG Women's PGA Championship: The big names in danger of missing the cut

Several big names could be making an exit at the halfway stage of the KPMG Women's PGA Championship.

The KPMG Women's PGA Championship could continue this weekend without some big names.

After 18 holes of the third women's major of the year, South Korea's Ina Yoon has a two-shot lead.

Yoon, who was previously banned for cheating, went round Hazeltine National in Minnesota in nine-under 63 on Thursday.

The 23-year-old, who is in her second year on the LPGA Tour, is yet to finish higher than fourth this season.

World number one Nelly Korda is going for a hat-trick of majors wins this week but an opening 70 leaves the American well off the pace.

At the other end of the leaderboard, some big names could be making an exit at the halfway stage.

Chief of which is England's Charley Hull, who sits on one-over par.

Only the top 70 and ties make it through to the weekend. There is no 10-shot rule.

Hull is joined on the same score by her compatriot Mimi Rhodes, who is playing her rookie season on the LPGA Tour.

Rose Zhang, Carlota Ciganda, Leona Maguire, Linn Grant, Maja Stark and Celine Boutier are also on the wrong side of the cut.
