Michael Brennan won the PGA Tour's Bank of Utah Championship on his first start as a professional.
The 23-year-old got into the FedExCup Fall event courtesy of a sponsor exemption after tearing up the PGA Tour Americas with three wins from four starts between August and September.
He took control of the $6m tournament on Saturday with a sublime seven-under 64 at Black Desert Resort to open up a two-shot lead over defending champion Matt McCarty.
And in the end Brennan made it look easy, carding a final-round 66 to win by four from the Philippines' Rico Hoey.
Had it not been for a loose approach on the par-five 18th that resulted in Brennan taking a penalty drop, the margin of victory would've been greater.
"It means a lot," he told Sky Sports' Inci Mehmet. "Golf's a big part of my life. I try not to make it my entire life, but it's a big part of what I do for a living, and to have success at the professional level, it's an amazing feeling."
He added: "It is a dream. My parents have kept things from what I wrote in kindergarten saying I wanted to play professional golf on the PGA Tour.
"And now I've realised that dream. Not only do I get to play on Tour, I'm a Tour winner. I definitely have not settled in - I'm just hoping to get that scorecard correct."
Elsewhere, rising star David Ford, Denmark's Thorbjorn Olesen, Max Homa and 2026 US Presidents Cup captain Brandt Snedeker were among those to finish inside the top-10.
Brennan is a former Wake Forest star who won eight times before he graduated.
His hot stretch on the PGA Tour Americas saw him top the points list to secure his playing rights on the developmental Korn Ferry Tour for 2026.
The win means he is the first player to win on a sponsor exemption since Nick Dunlap at last year's American Express.
After this week, only three tournaments remain in the season for players to finish among the top 100 in the FedExCup to keep full cards for the 2026 season.
The top 100 has been reduced from 125 players keeping their cards a year ago.
