The Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches will conclude on Sunday at PGA National.
After 54 holes, Ireland's Shane Lowry shares the lead on 13-under par with America's Austin Smotherman.
Nico Echavarria, Jimmy Stanger, Joel Dahmen, Taylor Moore and Ricky Castillo are also in contention.
Former Open champion Lowry surged up the leaderboard on moving day with bogey-free eight-under 63.
Lowry, who very nearly won this tournament in 2022 , is attempting to enter the winner's circle for the first time since the 2022 BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.
The 38-year-old also tasted team success alongside Rory McIlroy last season at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, but will undoubtedly relish the opportunity to earn his fourth PGA Tour title.

Yet Lowry knows it will not be straightforward.
"If the conditions are like this tomorrow, there is low scores out there, so someone could come from the pack," he told reporters on Saturday after his round.
"It's not necessarily easy to lead around this golf course. There's a lot of very difficult shots.
"But yeah, I'm up there where I want to be. I've had a few chances to win this tournament, and hopefully I can convert it tomorrow."
The final round of the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches will begin at 8:05am EST (13:05 GMT).
Lowry and Smotherman will tee off in the final group at 13:45 EST (18:45 GMT)
