MacIntyre is back to defend his title this week and is joined in the field by recently crowned Masters champion Rory McIlroy.
McIlroy will be making his first appearance since an underwhelming performance at the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow.
The Northern Irishman made the cut on the number in North Carolina but failed to charge up the leaderboard.
At the second men's major of the year, news leaked that he was forced into a late driver switch after the USGA informed him his driver was non-conforming.
McIlroy is yet to comment on what transpired and will undoubtedly be asked about it during Wednesday's eagerly-anticipated news conference.
The 36-year-old will also be asked about why he decided to skip the Memorial Tournament without giving tourney host Jack Nicklaus a heads up.
Nicklaus admitted he was surprised by McIlroy's decision not to play an event he has played every year since 2017.
World No.1 Scottie Scheffler is taking a week off after he landed his 16th PGA Tour win last week at Muirfield Village.
Notables in the field include Ludvig Aberg, Sam Burns and Justin Rose.
The 2025 RBC Canadian Open has a total prize purse of $9.8m. That means the winner will walk away with $1.76m on Sunday evening.
