Keegan Bradley provides latest update on whether he'll pick himself on Ryder Cup team
Keegan Bradley discusses his Ryder Cup headache ahead of the BMW Championship.
Keegan Bradley admits he is still up in the air as to whether he will pick himself on the 2025 United States Ryder Cup team, but he does appear to be siding on the fence that he will just remain as the captain.
Bradley, 39, provided his latest update in front of the media as to whether he has decided to become the first playing captain at the Ryder Cup since late great Arnold Palmer in 1963.
"We're ready for this if it happens, but I'm not sure it's going to..." said Bradley ahead of this week's BMW Championship at Caves Valley GC.
"I can truly sit here right now and say I don't know what's going to happen.
"I have to look at myself just like any other player trying to make the team. I'm 10th in points right now, and that's not sixth."
Bradley has been urged by a number of his peers to pick himself on the team that will face Luke Donald's European side at Bethpage in New York from 26-28 September.
Even Rory McIlroy admitted during his own press conference today that Bradley is "one of the best 12 Americans right now".
Although McIlroy has quickly shut down the idea that he will ever be a playing captain.
Bradley, who is ranked 12th in the world right now, will make his six captain's picks after the conclusion of next week's Tour Championship, which marks the end of automatic qualification.
He recently got European captain Donald to accept a captain's agreement that now permits him to become a playing captain.

As it stands, only three American players are locked into Bradley's team in Scottie Scheffler, JJ Spaun and Xander Schauffele.
Bradley recently confirmed Bryson DeChambeau will definitely be in his team no matter what happens over the coming weeks.
LIV Golf superstar DeChambeau currently occupies the fifth automatic spot, with Russell Henley in fourth and Harris English in sixth.
It's anticipated both Justin Thomas and Collin Morikawa will make it onto the team, as well as the experienced Patrick Cantlay.
That's seemingly nine players set on the team, which leaves the door open for three players, one of which could be Bradley if he wishes.
In our latest predictions piece at GolfMagic, we consider both Ben Griffin and Cameron Young will also make the team, so that makes 11.
Will Bradley pick himself to make up the 12th man, or will he choose someone else and just sit back and take the reins as initially planned.
"I've been saying all year you can't expect to be on the team unless you're in the top six," said Bradley during today's press conference.
"My goal is to go out there, whether I was Ryder Cup captain or not this week, and play well and play well next week at the Tour Championship as well.
"There's definitely a lot more on my plate here these next couple of weeks.
"The Ryder Cup has always been so far away, and now it's right there.
"Things are definitely amping up. I still have a lot to prove just as well as everyone around me on the list."

Bradley captured his eighth PGA Tour title with victory at the Travelers Championship in June.
His game has dropped off slightly since, which perhaps explains why he seems a little sceptical right now as to whether he should make the team.
Since landing his second career win at TPC River Highlands some eight weeks ago, Bradley has finished 41st, 30th, MC, 44th.
Big decisions ahead for Bradley.
