Ryder Cup 2027 tickets officially sold out following 'unprecedented global demand'

The Ryder Cup has announced that general admission tickets for the 2027 Ryder Cup are officially sold out, with tournament officials citing an 'unprecedented global demand' for tickets that led to the ballot, held today, becoming an instant sell-out.

Officials reported that the ballot for tickets was 12x oversubscribed, with fans from over 80 countries set to arrive at Adare Manor to watch Team Europe defend its trophy in the contest’s 100th Anniversary.

“We always thought there would be huge global interest in the 2027 Ryder Cup, but the demand for tickets we received throughout the entire process has been nothing short of remarkable," said Richard Atkinson, the European Tour group’s Chief Ryder Cup Officer.

“We could have sold out our general admission tickets more than 12 times over, which is testament to the appeal of golf’s greatest team contest, as well as the passion of fans who want to be part of it.

250,000 people are expected to attend, with a daily site capacity of 55,000. In a boon for the home team, an expected 34% of attendees will be Irish as the nation hosts its first staging of the event since 2006.

“Next year’s Ryder Cup at Adare Manor promises to be a truly special occasion and we look forward to welcoming international visitors to Limerick to experience the very best of Irish hospitality as well as an historic sporting event.”

News of the sellout comes shortly after it was announced that Irish native and six-time Ryder Cup veteran Padraig Harrington will join Luke Donald's team as a Vice-Captain.

While general admission tickets are now exhausted, travel inclusive packages and a limited number of premium experiences remain available via The Ryder Cup's website. 

Tickets for Tuesday's practice day will also be made available to Irish residents, with full details of this initiative and how to apply for tickets set be announced later this year.
