Solheim Cup 2026: USA fight back to level with Europe at 8-8 heading into Sunday's singles
Jennifer Kupcho holes a 90-footer and 25-footer on the last two holes to win the match and level up the Solheim Cup heading into Sunday.
Angela Stanford's Team USA produced a stunning late fightback to level the 2026 Solheim Cup at 8-8, setting up a dramatic final day of singles at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands.
Europe and the USA were tied at 4-4 after Friday's opening day, but the hosts moved two points clear after taking Saturday morning's foursomes 3-1.
It looked as though Anna Nordqvist's European team would carry a precious advantage into Sunday's 12 singles matches, but the USA produced an outstanding late response in the fourballs.
The Americans won the fourth session 3-1, with the final match providing a dramatic conclusion as Jennifer Kupcho and Lindy Duncan edged Carlota Ciganda and Celine Boutier 1up to secure the crucial point.
Kupcho holed an extraordinary 90-foot birdie putt to win the penultimate hole and bring the match back to all square.

And the American saved her best for last.
With the match tied heading down the 18th, Kupcho calmly rolled in a 25-foot birdie putt to win the hole and secure a dramatic 1up victory for the USA.

The result completed an extraordinary American fightback and ensured the Solheim Cup was level at 8-8 heading into Sunday's singles.
It means there is now everything to play for, with 12 points still available.
Defending champions USA just need 14 points to retain the Solheim Cup, while Europe need 14.5 to regain it.
The USA have won the Solheim Cup 11 times since the contest began in 1990, but their last away victory came in Germany in 2015.
Europe has won the trophy eight times.
The star performers of day two were undoubtedly Swedish duo and good friends Maja Stark and Linn Grant, who won both of their matches to remain unbeaten with a 3-0 record this week.
They join USA's Alison Lee as the only players to have earned three points heading into Sunday's singles.
Stark and Grant produced one of the biggest results of the tournament in Saturday morning's opening match, defeating World No.1 Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz 3&2 before backing it up with another victory in the afternoon.

The big disappointment for Europe has unquestionably been the form of Charley Hull and Lottie Woad, who on paper were the hosts' star pairing of the week.
They lost both matches together on Saturday, suffering a heavy 6&5 defeat to Lauren Coughlin and Alison Lee in the morning before narrowly losing 1 down to Yealimi Noh and Andrea Lee in the afternoon.
The English duo played together in all four sessions but earned just half a point.
Korda sat out Saturday afternoon's fourballs, having gone 1-1-1 from her three matches so far this week.
Coughlin was the only American to play all four sessions, with her unbeaten run finally coming to an end against Stark and Grant in the afternoon.
Rose Zhang and Auston Kim also registered their first wins of the week, defeating Leona Maguire and Nastasia Nadaud 3&2.
But it was the USA who finished the day with all the momentum.

Korda fails to convert an eight footer for par on the 9th.
Europe now 4up and in total command.

Stark eagle!
Stark chips in for eagle on the short par-4 8th to put Europe 3up thru eight holes.
Korda and Corpuz's unbeaten record is in severe danger here.

Europe just 1up in Match 3
Andrea Lee and Auston Kim haul a hole back for the Americans in Match 3 with a brilliant birdie-two on the par-3 6th.
European rookies Mimi Rhodes and Nastasia Nadaud, who won their first match together in the Friday afternoon fourballs, remain with the lead though at 1up.

Hull and Woad 2 down
It goes from bad to worse for Europe's strongest pairing (on paper at least).
After making a par on the par-5 5th, Hull and Woad now find themselves 2 down to in-form duo Lee and Coughlin.
Still a long way to go in this match of course, but it will be very interesting to see if captain Anna Nordqvist decides to stick or twist with this pairing in the fourballs this afternoon.
It's just not quite clicking as everyone thought it might do this week.

Europe move 2up in top game
Swedish duo Maja Stark and Linn Grant are putting on a show in the top game against World No.1 Nelly Korda and her playing partner Allisen Corpuz.
The Europeans, who share a close bond, have stretched into a 2up lead thru seven holes.
Korda and Corpuz set a new Solheim Cup record yesterday when going 5-0 together, which is something no pairing has ever done in the contest's history dating back to 1990.
But is the streak about to end here?
Elsewhere, Jennifer Kupcho and Rose Zhang have put USA 2up in Match 2.
USA up in two, down in two.
We still can't split the teams!

USA up in Match 4
Alison Lee and Lauren Coughlin have just put USA 1up in the bottom match against arguably Europe's strongest pairing on paper, Charley Hull and Lottie Woad.
Hull and Woad are still looking for their first full point after taking just half a point from two matches alongside each other on Friday.
Lee and Coughlin went unbeaten on day one, with Lee taking a full two points from two and Coughlin earning 1.5 points.
Hull is making her eighth Solheim Cup appearance this week, while Woad is making her debut.
