Scottie Scheffler 2024 Masters Champion

Scottie Scheffler is your 2024 Masters Champion.

He has played some sensational golf and finishes the week -11, four shots clear of second place.

With his first child on the way, too, he couldn't have asked for a better week.

It's green jacket number two for the world No.1.

What a week for Ludvig Aberg

He's come up a few short today, but it's been an incredible week for the rookie.

He's all smiles as he walks off the 18th green to sign his card.

Fair to say he would have earned a few new fans this week.

Moments away from a second green jacket

It's been a frankly thrilling performance from Scheffler today.

Despite a small wobble on the front nine, he's been at his imperious best.

Scheffler on a roll

S. Scheffler -11, C. Morikawa -5 (16)

Another birdie on the 16th moves Scheffler four shots clear at the top.

He has been unstoppable on this back nine.

He's got one arm in the jacket right now.

Scheffler safely aboard on 16

S. Scheffler -10, C. Morikawa -5 (15)

There was an opportunity for a slip-up on the 16th tee with water always in play; however, Scheffler had other ideas and picked out the heart of the green to set himself up with a good look at birdie.

A well crafted par from Aberg

L. Aberg -7, M. Homa -5 (16)

After finding the bunker short left on the par-3 16th, the Swede used the sloping green to get the ball within a couple of feet for a straightforward par putt.

He remains three shots back with two holes to play.

You do sense that, barring a complete disaster, Scheffler is less than an hour away from slipping on his second green jacket.

Morikawa -4 (14)

Superb birdie for Scheffler

S. Scheffler -10, C. Morikawa -4 (14)

Another kick-in birdie for Scheffler on the 14th hole.

His approach shot was sensational. He used the slope left of the hole to let the ball trickle down to within a couple of inches of the pin.

The World No.1 is putting on a ball-striking clinic at the moment.

He's going to be very hard to catch in this form.

Aberg is digging in

Ludvig Aberg isn't going to go down without a fight.

He makes another sensational birdie on the 14th hole.

He's now repaired all the damage done on the 11th and shortened Scheffler's lead to just two shots.

You sense this is going to go right down to the wire.

It's not over yet, especially at Augusta National.

Absolute chaos on Amen Corner

Everyone is dropping shots!

Scheffler makes a bogey on 11, and Morikawa makes a double. Ahead of them, Aberg has a tricky putt for par on 12, and Homa is staring at a big number on the same hole.

It's been a very messy ten minutes.

A Leaderboard update is coming up.

Rookie error from Morikawa

S. Scheffler -9, C. Morikawa -5 (10)

Morikawa made the same mistake as Aberg, pulling his approach shot on the 11th hole into the water.

Another double bogey here would surely knock him out of contention.

Double trouble for Aberg

L. Aberg -5, M. Homa -7 (11)

Ludvig drops two shots on the 11th but manages to crack a smile as he approaches the 12th tee.

It was a painful start to Amen Corner, but the young Swede still has plenty of golf to play.

Water ball for Aberg

A poor second shot from Ludvig Aberg finds the water on the 11th hole.

He has his work cut out now to ensure he doesn't drop more than one shot.

Three birdies on the bounce for Scheffler

S. Scheffler -9, C. Morikawa -5 (10)

The 2022 Masters champion appears to be shifting it up a gear right now.

He's now made three birdies in a row and has a two-shot lead at the top of the leaderboard.

Beautiful birdie for Homa

L. Aberg -7, M. Homa -7 (10)

After a perfect tee shot, Max Homa made the most of his position to stiff his approach near the pin.

He duly tapped in his birdie putt and now joins his playing partner, one shot back from Scheffler.

Double bogey for Morikawa

S. Scheffler -8, C. Morikawa -5 (9)

After taking two shots to get out of a greenside bunker on the 9th hole, Morikawa walks off with a double bogey and drops three shots back from Scheffler.

A costly hole for Collin

Collin Morikawa

Sensational from Scheffler

From 102 yards out, Scheffler absolutely stuffs his approach to an inch.

A kick-in birdie gives him the solo lead at eight under.

Aberg back on top

L. Aberg -7, M. Homa -6 (9)

Just as I finished typing, Ludvig Aberg drains a monster on the 9th to join the leaders at seven under.

What a putt from the young Swede.

Birdies for Scheffler and Morikawa

S. Scheffler -7, C. Morikawa -7 (8)

Both Scheffler and Morikawa have taken advantage of the par-five 8th hole to move a shot clear of Homa and Aberg.
