The stage is set for a gripping finale at 2026 Masters Tournament, where Rory McIlroy and Cameron Young will go head-to-head in the final pairing on Sunday at Augusta National Golf Club.

What began as a commanding six-shot lead for McIlroy on Saturday has now unravelled into a far tighter contest entering Masters Sunday

The defending champion laboured to a third-round 73, while Young vaulted up the board with a sizzling 65 to tie things up at 11-under par.

McIlroy is looking to become the fourth player in history to go back to back at The Masters.

Young, meanwhile, is going in pursuit of back to back wins on the PGA Tour having won last month's Players Championship, and a first major title.

Hot on their heels is Sam Burns, just one stroke back, while a trio of experienced contenders — Shane Lowry (9-under), Jason Day and Justin Rose (both 8-under) — rounding out the top five.

Meanwhile, two-time Masters champion Scottie Scheffler has surged back into contention following a superb third-round 65.

World number one Scheffler is seeking a third green jacket in the last five years, and a fifth career major title.

With the leaderboard tightly packed, Sunday at Augusta promises the kind of drama that has defined this tournament for generations.
