Golf’s first major of the season, the 2026 Masters Tournament, tees off on Thursday morning and runs through Sunday night, and thankfully the weather forecast could not look better.

Sunny skies and dry conditions are expected across all four rounds, with greens likely to be firm and speed up as the week progresses, placing a premium on precision and ball striking.

Temperatures will be warm but seasonable, and while Thursday could see some gusty winds, conditions are expected to ease as the weekend approaches.

By Sunday, Augusta National’s notoriously contoured greens could run as fast as 13.5 on the stimpmeter, making putting a true test even for the most accomplished players.

With severe run-offs surrounding many of the greens, scrambling and short-game proficiency could be decisive.

Many competitors have been focusing extra time on Augusta’s short-game areas during practice rounds as a result, fully aware that firm and fast conditions often magnify mistakes.

It's anticipated there will no weather delays across all four tournament days, which will be music to the ears of both players and patrons alike.
