GolfMagic’s betting tips for The Masters have landed — and they could not be arriving at a better time.

Our Editor and expert tipster Andy Roberts is on an outrageous run. Five PGA Tour events. Five top-five finishes. Two winners. If you’ve been following his picks each-way, you’ve been paid out every single week. That’s not just good form — that’s elite-level tipping.

Now we head to Augusta National for the biggest test of them all: The Masters

The first major of the season. The one every golfer dreams of winning — and every punter wants to get right.

Andy is prepared to look past Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler

Rory McIlroy tees it up this week as the defending champion after his dramatic playoff victory over Justin Rose 12 months ago — a win that finally completed his long-awaited career Grand Slam.

History, however, is not on his side. McIlroy is attempting to become the first player since Tiger Woods in 2002 to successfully defend The Masters title. He arrives at Augusta priced at 12/1, but his recent form raises concerns.

A back injury forced him to withdraw from the Arnold Palmer Invitational last month, and he followed that with a disappointing T46 finish at The Players Championship. That’s far from ideal preparation heading into the unique demands of Augusta National, and for that reason, Andy is happy to pass on the defending champion this time around.

The same applies — somewhat surprisingly — to world number one Scottie Scheffler.

Scheffler is chasing a third Green Jacket in five years, but there are a few question marks. He’s had a short break from competition following the birth of his second child, Remy, at the end of March. While that’s obviously a joyful milestone, it does introduce a degree of uncertainty in terms of competitive sharpness.

At best odds of 6/1, Scheffler is understandably the market leader, and those odds could look generous come Sunday evening. But Andy isn’t convinced we’re seeing peak Scheffler just yet this season. Despite a win at The American Express earlier in the year, he finished outside the top 20 in his last two starts at Bay Hill and TPC Sawgrass. Solid, but not spectacular.

With both McIlroy and Scheffler overlooked, Andy believes the real value lies elsewhere — and he’s identified three standout contenders to win The Masters.

Let's dive in...

THE MASTERS: BETTING PICKS

Jon Rahm
Jon Rahm

PICK 1: JON RAHM – 11/1

Jon Rahm arrives at Augusta National playing some of the most consistent golf in the world, regardless of which tour you look at.

Since joining LIV Golf, his record has been nothing short of extraordinary. In 30 starts, he has never finished worse than tied 11th, which is a staggering level of consistency at the elite level. Along the way, he has picked up three wins, including one already this season, and has strung together five consecutive top-five finishes in 2026.

When it comes to identifying a Masters winner, I always prioritise two key factors: current form and course compatibility. Rahm excels in both.

Rahm won The Masters in 2023 and has recorded five top-10 finishes in nine appearances at Augusta, proving time and again that he thrives on this layout. His combination of power, control and elite ball-striking makes him perfectly suited to the demands of the course.

There may be ongoing noise around his Ryder Cup future and DP World Tour commitments, but purely from a golfing perspective, Rahm looks completely dialled in. His strokes-gained numbers back that up too, with Data Golf ranking him top of the pile across all tours for strokes-gained total (+2.69).

I managed to back Rahm at 16/1 for The Masters earlier in the season, but even at the current best odds available of 11/1, he still looks like a strong value play given his form and reliability.

Xander Schauffele

PICK 2: XANDER SCHAUFFELE – 16/1

Xander Schauffele is the player I’m most excited about heading into this week, and I genuinely believe he could be the one to beat.

He arrives at Augusta in excellent form, having finished third at The Players Championship and fourth at the Valspar Championship. Just as importantly, he has taken a couple of weeks off since then, allowing him to arrive fresh and fully prepared for the season’s first major.

What really stands out, however, is his record at Augusta National. In eight appearances, he has already posted five top-10 finishes, including a runner-up finish in 2019 and third place in 2021. He has also recorded three consecutive top-10s at the tournament, highlighting just how comfortable he is on this course.

Even when not at his best, Schauffele still finds a way to contend here. Last year, while recovering from a rib injury, he still managed to finish eighth, which says a lot about both his resilience and his suitability to Augusta.

Although he has slipped slightly in the world rankings over the past year, there are clear signs that he is trending back towards his peak level. If he finds that extra gear this week, he has every chance of finally slipping on the Green Jacket and moving one leg away from the career Grand Slam.

At best odds of 16/1, he stands out as one of the best value picks in the field.

Cameron Young

PICK 3: CAMERON YOUNG – 20/1

Cameron Young has developed into one of the most exciting players in world golf, and everything suggests he is ready to contend for a major title at The Masters.

Since securing his first PGA Tour title at the Wyndham Championship last year, his confidence and consistency have reached new heights. That progression was underlined by his victory at The Players Championship, which I tipped at 35/1, and he now arrives at Augusta off the back of three consecutive top-seven finishes.

Importantly, he has had time to reset since that win, giving him the perfect balance of momentum and preparation heading into this week.

From a technical standpoint, Augusta National looks tailor-made for his game. He is one of the longest hitters on tour, and his natural right-to-left shot shape is ideally suited to the course, where many of the key holes favour that trajectory.

While his overall Masters record is mixed, there are clear signs of promise. He has already posted finishes of seventh and ninth in recent years, demonstrating that he can compete here when everything clicks.

Statistically, he is right up there with the best players in the world, currently ranking among the leaders in strokes-gained metrics. His rise to third in the world reflects just how far he has come in a relatively short space of time.

I backed him at 28/1 for The Masters while he was going about his business at Sawgrass last month, but even at best odds of 20/1, he still offers plenty of appeal.

Final Thoughts

So there you have it — three players I firmly believe can win the 2026 Masters:

  • Jon Rahm - 11/1
  • Xander Schauffele - 16/1
  • Cameron Young - 20/1

Whether you choose to back them outright or each-way is entirely up to you, but I’m confident the winner will come from this trio.

You can get some fairly generous each-way markets out there with the bookies when it comes to the majors, especially The Masters.

Let’s see if we can make it three winners in six weeks, or at the very least extend that incredible run of top-five finishes.

Best of luck with your selections at Augusta.

And as always, please gamble responsibly.
