US Open 2025 Live: Final round scores, leaderboard updates, tee times and highlights from Oakmont

US Open 2025 Live: Final round leaderboard, scores and updates from golf's third major of the season at famed Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania.

JJ Spaun has won his first major title on a rollercoaster final day at the 125th US Open.

The top of the leaderboard changed hands multiple times on a wet and wild Sunday at Oakmont Country Club.

But it was Spaun, 34, who held his nerve down the closing stretch to see out his first major title and second career win on Tour.

Spaun hit one of the shots of his life when sending his tee shot to 20 feet on the short par-4 17th.

He then two-putted from there to take a one-shot lead down the par-4 18th.

Spaun then finished in style on 18 with without question the putt of his life.

He split the fairway, found the heart of the green and then sunk a 50-footer for birdie to bring the house down in the pouring rain.

Spaun celebrated with his caddie and he was then joined at the back of the green by his wife and children.

The American was drawn to tears.

Spaun finished the week at 1-under par, a score many people predicted at the start of the week.

Robert MacIntyre charged late with a brilliant round of 2-under 70 in the testing conditions.

But the Scot had to settle for a solo second on 1-over par, a result that marks his best ever finish at a major.

A number of other players will look back and think what might have been in the final round of the US Open.

None more so than Sam Burns who was shockingly denied free relief from casual water in the fairway on the 15th, which led to a double bogey.

Burns and his playing partner Adam Scott ended up having a final round to forget and they were a combined 17-over par.

Tyrrell Hatton also had every chance to win his first major but the Englishman was left to rue duffing two chip shots in the right rough en route to a costly bogey on the short par-4 17th.

Viktor Hovland ended up finishing in solo third on 2-over par, one shot ahead of Cameron Young and LIV Golf duo Hatton and Carlos Ortiz.

Scottie Scheffler and Jon Rahm backdoored a top-10 finish.

Spaun pockets a first prize cheque of $4.3m, and he also now gives himself every chance of earning a first appearance in the US Ryder Cup team this September.

JJ SPAUN WINS THE US OPEN

Spaun -1 (F)

SPAUN IS THE US OPEN CHAMPION!

The American buries a 50-footer for birdie on the 18th green to bring the house down and win his first major championship.

Spaun ends the week as the only player in the red on 1-under par.

Burns and Scott are 16-over combined

Burns +4, Scott +5  (16)

It's gone badly wrong for the final pairing of Burns and Scott.

Both players are 8-over par today.

Scott  just made a double on 16 and Burns made bogey.

Burns clearly still affected by that shocking rules decision on the 15th.

Spaun hits the shot of his life

Spaun Par (17), Hovland +2 (17)

Spaun hits the shot of his life on the short par-4 17th.

He drives the green and sets up a 20 footer for eagle.

Spaun then two putts from there for birdie to move into the outright lead on level par.

Hovland also makes birdie on 17 to move to 2-over par.

00:46
Hatton bogey

Hatton +2 (17)

Hatton makes a complete mess of the short par-4 17th.

Hatton back to 2-over.

He needs a birdie down 18 now.

00:41
Burns double

Burns +3 (15), Scott +3 (15)

A quite simply bonkers decision from two rules officials ends up costing Burns a double.

Burns' ball had water underneath it in the fairway - but both rules officials deemed it was playable without relief.

The American played his shot, water flew up as expected and his ball sailed left into the rough.

It led to a double and Burns is now two back.

Scott made bogey.

00:33
MacIntyre in the house at 1-over

MacIntyre +1 (F)

MacIntyre two putts for par at 18 to set the clubhouse target of 1-over par.

Will it be good enough for a playoff?

00:28
Hovland bogey

Hovland +3 (15)

Bogey for Hovland.

He fails to get up and down from 50 yards short of the green.

Hovland looks too far back now.

00:27

Spaun +1 (15)

Spaun hacks his way down the 15th and it leads to a bogey.

We now have four players tied at the top - Spaun, Hatton, Burns and MacIntyre.
