Wyndham Clark has made light of one of his most talked-about interviews in his first social media comments since winning the 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills.

The now two-time majorchampion responded to a post from Barstool Sports' Pardon My Take, which referenced comments he made after winning The CJ Cup Byron Nelson last month.

"After winning the US Open, Wyndham Clark is opening some grape," the account posted on X.

Clark soon joined in on the joke, replying: "Can confirm, grape was opened last night."

The light-hearted response suggests Clark is embracing a soundbite that has attracted plenty of attention among golf fans in recent weeks.

His social media update comes less than 24 hours after a dramatic victory at Shinnecock Hills, where he claimed a second U.S. Open title despite a nervy final-round performance.

Clark began Sunday with a commanding six-shot lead but saw his advantage steadily disappear as pressure mounted on one of golf's toughest major championship venues.

The 32-year-old American also had to contend with heckling from sections of the crowd throughout the final round, adding another layer of difficulty to an already tense afternoon.

The defining moment came at the par-5 16th hole when Clark rolled in a 35-foot birdie putt to move two shots clear of Sam Burns.

Although he three-putted the par-3 17th for bogey, Clark responded with a composed par at the 18th to secure a one-shot victory.

A final-round 73 left him at four-under-par for the championship, one shot ahead of Burns.

The victory silenced any lingering doubts about Clark's breakthrough major triumph at Los Angeles Country Club in 2023 and cemented his place among the game's elite players.

Clark now boasts two U.S. Open titles and five PGA Tour victories, with his latest major success coming after one of the most eventful Sundays of his career.
