Tiger Woods commits to Memorial Tournament before US Open

Tiger Woods will tee it up at next week's Memorial Tournament in a bid to give himself a competitive edge going into the US Open next month.

When Woods won The Masters in April he decided not to play in a single tournament until the US PGA Championship, which he ultimately missed the cut in.

The 15-time major champion has won the Memorial five times, with his last victory coming there in 2012.

Woods will then head to the US Open at Pebble Beach from June 13 to 16, a venue he won the US Open on by a record 15 strokes in 2000.
