As the world's most popular driving range tech platform, Top Tracer is famed for providing millions of golfers around the world the chance to experience some of the planet's greatest layouts at their local driving range or indoor golf centre.

Now, a particularly prestigious name has arrived on the platform's roster of courses in the form of Kawana Hotel, the Japanese club on which the famed Fuji Course stands.

Regarded among Japan's finest courses and a regular mainstay in the world's top 100, the Fuji sets itself apart not just for its pristine conditioning and distinctly Japanese environment, but its unique blend of mountain and coastal vistas.

Looking out over Sagami Bay, the inland view from the course is dominated by Japan's most iconic mountain, lending the Fuji its moniker. Meanwhile, its headland location, ocean-backed greens and secluded nature have led many to dub the Fuji Japan's answer to Pebble Beach.

“The layout is as good as any touching the Pacific Ocean, and that includes many well-known courses along the west coast of the United States,” says Scott Blevins, President and GM of Toptracer. “We want to inspire our golfers at Toptracer by offering the best courses from around the world at their local range, and the addition of Kawana Hotel should do exactly that.”

Toptracer's unique offering means that players will be able to virtually play the course at any Toptracer-equipped range facility, Topgolf sites, as well as in any indoor environment that has Toptracer simulator software. Players will receive accurate distance and spin information on their shots, enabling them to plot their way around the course virtually and making for a much more varied practice session.

Already, the Fuji has become a popular choice in Japan – a country where virtual golf is booming. 1.8 million rounds of golf are played virtually at Toptracer bays in the country yearly, with 30% in the last month taking place at the Fuji.
