Okay, so Wenyi Ding isn't a DP World Tour star yet. But his father absolutely is.

Greatness can really come from anywhere. This week it came in the form of this father/son duo.

Ding was playing the second round of the Korea Championship at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea.

The Chinese golfer, who is ranked 942nd in the world rankings (don't mention world rankings!), was grinding hard to make the cut.

Faced with a lengthy putt for par, this was pretty outrageous from the 18-year-old. And didn't his father absolutely love it!

The commentary team absolutely painted a terrific picture of the heartwarming moment.

"This would be a huge putt if he could save par."

"And he does...fantastic!"

"Look at dad! He's lives and dies, doesn't he?! Look at him go! Isn't that great?"

We are inclined to agree.

Oh, and here's a closer look courtesy of the DP World Tour's social media team.

This game really is fantastic.

It reminded us of the terrific moment this standard bearer electrified Bay Hill during this year's Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Eventual champion Kurt Kitayama drained a huge putt on No. 17 to make his walk down the 72nd hole much easier.

Remember this?

We are also delighted to inform you that Ding made the cut comfortably at 3-under, posting a second round of 69 to follow his opening 72.

His second round featured a level par front nine with one birdie, two bogeys and an eagle. Back-to-back birdies at No. 14 and 15 put him in a strong position down the stretch.

The epic moment where he saved par came on the par-4 16th. His father was very nearly leaping for joy once again at the very next hole but Ding had to settle for three consecutive pars to finish.

We will be keeping our eyes peeled for further outbursts of jubilation this weekend.
