Oliver Wilson earned his first win on the DP World Tour in eight years at the Made in HimmerLand in Denmark, securing a one-shot win over Ewen Ferguson.

Oliver Wilson: What's in the bag of the two-time DP World Tour winner?

Oliver Wilson was overcome with emotion after securing his second win on the DP World Tour at the Made in HimmerLand in Denmark.

The Englishman carded a 4-under-par 67 to reach 21-under-par, one shot ahead of Ewen Ferguson who won the ISPS Handa World Invitational in August.

Wilson, who played in the Ryder Cup for Europe in 2008, made crucial birdies on the 13th, 16th and 17th holes in a round where he also avoided making a bogey.

The 41-year-old hadn't won on the DP World Tour since the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in 2014. He has now risen 128 places to 28th in the DP World Tour rankings.

Wilson has also earned a place at the BMW PGA Championship this week. Wentworth will play host to a world-class field of players including stars from the PGA Tour and the LIV Golf Series.

"I was so confident, I knew I could get the job done. Everything I’ve done up to this point to rebuild my game and I knew I could do it. I was so in control, and I said I wasn’t going to cry. I was calm there, I almost enjoyed the last hole!" Wilson said.

"It’s pretty special, I’m so proud of myself. I’ve got a great team around me and there are other people who have helped me a tonne. The list goes on, everybody who knows me has been pulling me along to help figure this game out."
