Callaway reveal Rogue and Rogue Sub Zero fairway woods

Callaway has revealed its Rogue and Rogue Sub Zero fairway wood for 2018, which offer Jailbreak Technology for the first time.

Jailbreak - which debuted in the GBB Epic and continues in the Rogue drivers - implements two bars connecting the crown and sole of the club, allowing the face to flex for maximum distance.

The rods in the fairway woods are made of steel, rather than titanium as seen in the Rogue driver.

In addition to this is Face Cup Technology, which is a thin, Carpenter 455 steel face designed to offer maximum ball speeds.

“The challenge was to make these technologies work together,” said Dr. Alan Hocknell. “That technological synergy is what makes Rogue Fairways an engineering marvel, and an absolute powerhouse.”

The Rogue fairway woods have Internal Standing Wave technology, which Callaway used in their irons to position CG just where they want it. In the fairway metals, CG is placed forward and low, for  high launch and low spin, equalling distance.

A triaxial carbon crown saves weight, as does a fixed shaft, allowing for CG and MOI to be raised.

Like the drivers, the Rogue fairway models have improved aerodynamics thanks to its relationship with Boeing. This allows for faster club head speeds and distance.

The Callaway Rogue Sub Zero fairway wood has the same technology, while offering a low spin option, making it more of a “distance fairway wood”.

The drivers are made to be as forgiving as the standard Rogue fairway woods, and with a high launch, albeit flatter than the Rogue.

The size and shape of the Sub Hero heads are very similar to the standard Rogue.
