Cobra has launched its KING F8 and F8+ drivers for 2018, featuring the first ever Precision Milled Forged face for a driver.
“At COBRA Golf our engineers continue to push the envelope when it comes to innovation and delivering the best in game-changing golf equipment for golfers of all levels,” said Tom Olsavsky, VP of Research & Development at Cobra Golf.
“With the addition of the first CNC Milled titanium driver face for unrivaled precision, weight savings and performance gains, combined with advanced analytics from COBRA CONNECT Powered by Arccos, we believe the F8 and F8+ drivers are truly a step into the future of the game.”
REVIEW: COBRA KING F8 DRIVERS
The fully machined driver face utilises a multi-directional CNC milling pattern for more precision compared to hand polished drivers.
This allows for a 3% thinner and 10% lighter face, with improved bulge and roll curvatures for more ball speed and distance.
Shows golfers driving distances and accuracy, helping golfers make better decisions. Sensor in the grip pairs with the app, offering data and distances on more than 40,000 courses.
F8 has a larger profile and two adjustable weight positions - in the back and in a draw biased position. The F8+ has a smaller profile, has the back weight position and a front position, but no draw biased position.
Aerodynamic trips on the perimeter of the club reduce drag for increased club head speeds and more distance.
Polymer material on the trips places on the crown allow for better CG and MOI.
Saves weight for more forgiveness, and a lower CG.
Saves weight and allows for a larger sweet spot.
Offers eight lofts to choose from.
The driver will come stock with a Lamkin REL 360 (Tour Taper; COBRA CONNECT) grip in nardo and a choice of three stock shafts: MRC Tensei CK Blue 50g (lite & regular flex); Aldila NV 2KXV Blue 60 (regular or stiff) or an Aldila NV 2KXV Green 65 (stiff flex). *Additional shafts and flex variations available in custom.
Available: 2 February
Progressive rails heights improve turf interaction, while the clubs also benefit from the same aero trips as seen in the driver.
The new fairway wood has a larger profile and improved launch conditions. A back weight helps promote a high flight, and for the first time the fairways have an ultralight 5-ply Carbon Fibre Crown, which saves 13 grams in weight compared to the previous steel version.
A forged stainless steel face insert features Cobra’s E9 Technology creating a larger sweet spot.
The F8+ has the same technologies in a more compact profile.
Also includes loft sleeve.

A new, sleeker design debuts in 2018, with a skinnier hosel and low CG.
A fixed weight low and back is designed to offer a towering flight.
The F8 One Length hybrid is the same length, lie and swing weight as a seven-iron. A larger internal weight pad allows the CG to be moved lower and deeper for a higher trajectory.
