Scotty Cameron builds even more tour cred with new Phantom Tour Prototype range
Scotty is back for 2026 with a new range of tour-only models that have gone straight to the top of our wishlists.

While the classic vision of the Scotty Cameron putters we've long seen on tour come in the form of traditional models like the Newport, for some time now it's actually the brand's line of Phantom mallet putters that has been doing most of the heavy lifting at the game's highest levels.
Swathes of Scotty devotees have switched into Phantom models over the last decade, embracing its combination of classic feel and high MOI mallet design. Cameron Young has played one for the entirety of his PGA Tour career, while Justin Thomas and Russell Henley are just a couple of notable names to trust a Phantom week in, week out.

Convincing any tour player to switch out of a familiar-feeling putter is a tough ask, but Scotty will be hoping their new range of Phantom Tour putters, freshly introduced this afternoon, will prove an easy transition for the model's elite roster of players.
The new range comes in the form of five new mallet models, each of which comes with a range of neck and shaft configurations to suit different types of swing and arc profile. Finished in a neat colour scheme of semi-gloss silver, black and red, all come with the full-face chainlink-style milling that has become synonymous with Cameron's Tour Prototype range.
The Phantom 5 is perhaps the most recognisable of the lot, with a squared-off wingback shape, while the Phantom 7 and 7.2 models are more tapered towards the rear. The 9.2R has the most comprehensive footprint.

All models with the .2 designation come, as ever, with Cameron's I-beam-style plumbing neck, which delivers mallet-like forgiveness while maintaining the more traditional with the feel, setup and alignment cues of a blade.
The new Phantom Tour Prototype range will make its debut at the season-opening Sony Open and Dubai Invitational tournaments over the next couple of weeks, with details of its retail release to follow shortly after.
