PXG has launched its first game improvement iron, in the form of the 0311XF – with the “XF” standing for extreme forgiveness.

Unlike most other manufacturers that offer irons for higher handicappers, PXG are not employing a hollow cavity-back design to the wrench, as they believe it compromises feel.

Head Size and offset

Longer blade length (around .180 longer) designed to offer confidence at address, and forgiveness by moving CG to the perimeters.

Sole width

Wide sole offers forgiveness for those with a steep angle of attack.

Steel Face Insert

With thickness of 1.4 millimetres

Tungsten weighting

Added to the forged body is tungsten weighting to lower CG

More offset

To help players get the ball in the air
