Conclusion

After the test was carried out, Andy and PGA pro Steven wrote down their scores for the various criteria of each player iron. Shortly after, when putting their heads together to discuss the testing, it quickly became clear that both were fond of the TaylorMade RocketBladez Tour with Wilson FG Tour V2 and Yonex Ezone Forged MB in hot pursuit.

And it shows in the scoring. Having scored without consulting and then taking the average of each, the RocketBladez Tour narrowly edged both the FG Tour V2 and Ezone Forged MB which tied for second.

The impressive PING i20 followed in close behind thanks to its abundance of forgiveness, alongside the Cobra AMP Cell Pro that provided sleek looks and decent workability.

We were really impressed by the variety on offer, hence why all ten clubs finished within three points of each other.

The Adams Idea CMB presented us with a neat appearance at address and sweet sensation at impact, while the Cleveland 588 TT, although not the prettiest iron on the market, generated tremendous feel, accuracy and a penetrating ball flight. The Bridgestone J40 CB provided a soft, buttery feel but travelled a little too high for our liking.
