Dustin Johnson HITS VOLUNTEER in the back as he climbs Saudi leaderboard

Dustin Johnson climbed the leaderboard during the second round of the Saudi International, but caused a volunteer to fall to the ground after he sent one of his drives straight into his back.

Play was suspended during Friday's second round at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club, but with Johnson 5-under through 14 holes, the world No.1 is just two shots behind the lead and will finish his round on Saturday morning.

Johnson birdied the 2nd hole before adding another at the par-5 4th, with a further gain picked up at the 7th hole to rech the turn at 3-under par.

The 372-yard par-4 10th hole was where Johnson struck the volunteer, who was situated in the left rough awaiting to spot any balls that come his way.

Johnson slightly pulled his drive and due to the lack of people at the event, chose not to call fore. As the camera panned high in the air following Johnson's ball, it came to a sudden halt when it hit the volunteer on his back.

The man was up pretty quickly and looked to be okay, although I'm sure he will wake up to a peach of a bruise in the morning.

Johnson went on to par the 10th hole and added back-to-back birdies at 13 and 14 before play was suspended.

Ryan Fox shot a 5-under par round to take a share of the lead alongside overnight leader Stephen Gallacher, although the Scot is just 12 holes through his second round.

Tommy Fleetwood made a move in the leaderboard with his 5-under par round to get within three of the lead and three other players join him in a tie for 7th place, including fellow Englishman Justin Rose.
