GolfMagic's Jack Seddon was recently invited to The Grove for the adidas Invitational. It was a fantastic event hosted by MeandMyGolf, that saw a few members of team adidas compete against each other before the golf day began. Taking part in the day from team adidas was 2018 Ryder Cup player Tyrrell Hatton, Englishman Jordan Smith, young superstar Matthew Jordan and Australian Lucas Herbert.

The day began on the driving range where players were invited to the driving range down at The Grove where everyone had the opportunity to warm up for the day of golf ahead.

While everyone else was getting warmed up, GolfMagic's Jack Seddon caught up with some of the members of team adidas who were there for the day.

One of the adidas players taking part was three time European Tour winner and 2018 Ryder Cup player Tyrrell Hatton. We asked Hatton about his experience in France last year and it was obvious what a momentous occasion it was for the Englishman.

"That was a pretty special week," said Hatton. "It's crazy to think it was almost a year ago now, it still feels like yesterday in a way. An amazing week from start to finish and I'll never forget that feeling, standing on the first tee Friday morning hitting my first tee shot."

We then asked Hatton if the nerves kicked in when he stepped onto the tee, but the 27-year-old explained that his pre-round routine helped him to overcome his first-tee nerves.

"I was actually alright, I was pretty chilled. I was more nervous when I was a heading to the range and starting my warm-up, but I actually had a really good warm-up and that selted me down. It was quite weird when I put the ball on the tee and everything went silent, it was amazing."

Later in the interview, Hatton was asked if qualifying for Padraig Harrington's 2020 Ryder Cup team was his main aim for the season: "I'd like to be back on the team and sort of prove to myself that it wasn't a one off. I think I've struggled a little bit since the Ryder Cup with some motivation and things, the tournaments haven't seemed as big which is strange, but hopefully with the points starting again (BMW PGA Championship) that will give me some more motivation and I can get back to playing some good golf again."

adidas Golf recently launched the Frostguard Collection, aiming to help extend the golf season with its revolutionary new layering collection. For more information on the wide range of golf apparel that adidas has to offer, visit: adidas.com
