Louis Oosthuizen and Justin Rose contend for shot of the round

Forget shot of the day. We've only had one round of the WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai and we have two contenders for shot of the tournament. Take a bow Louis Oosthuizen and Justin Rose!

Oosthuizen stepped up to the 197 yard par-3 sixth hole on Thursday and absolutely pured an iron to the front of the green, before it rolled all the way to the hole and dropped in for an ace.

It was excellent timing for the South African, as the eagle hole-in-one helped him climb the leaderboard to finish the first round in T10, just four shots off the lead. Check out the ace for yourself below:

Just when you thought you'd seen the shot of the day, Englishman Justin Rose produced one of the best putts you'll see all year, let alone the tournament.

Rose started his round on the 10th hole and was playing pretty steady golf, one-inder through eight holes, but a fantastic second shot on the par-5 18th left the former world no.1 with a tap in eagle, but he didn't stop there.

Two holes later, Rose faced another par five which again he reached in two. What he faced next was a huge putt, up-and-down the slope, almost having to come off the green to get the right angle to the hole.

The putt was inch perfect, climbing the hill and turning towards the hole on the downslope, before dropping into the hole for Rose's second eagle in three holes.

Rose finished the first round three-under par to leave him in T14 with three rounds to go. Watch Rose's two eagles in the video below:
