Tiger Woods to kids after Open T6: "Hopefully you're proud of pops"

Tiger Woods has revealed the heartfelt moment he shared with his young kids Sam and Charlie after finishing tied sixth at The Open, and it's enough to start the waterworks.

"I told them I tried and I said, 'Hopefully you’re proud of your pops for trying as hard as I did,'" said Woods, adding that his children aged 9 and 11 understand how important The Open is to him and how excited he is to be competing again.

Both of his kids wore black and red - alongside Woods' girlfriend Erica Herman - to match their dad's famous Sunday scripting.

"It's pretty emotional because they gave me some pretty significant hugs there and squeezed. I know that they know how much this championship means to me and how much it feels good to be back playing again," added the three-time Open champion.

"The only thing they've seen is my struggles and the pain I was going through. Now they just want to go play soccer with me. Man, it's just such a great feeling."
