Everyone has to start somewhere when it comes to taking up golf for the very first time. Just ask Reading Football Club defender Andy Yiadom, who was ridiculed in the dressing room during training today while attempting to grip a golf club.

Yiadom, 27, plays as right back for Reading FC and has scored two goals in 58 appearances since joining the Royals in 2018.

Check out the hilarious video below - first reported in GetReading.co.uk - of Yiadom getting to grips with an old Nike Vapor Fly Pro driver, much to the hysterics of fellow teammates Lucas Joao (who posted the video), Tom McIntyre and Charlie Adam in the club's Hogwood training ground.

Yiadom attempts all sorts of grips ranging from interlocking, overlapping and even the baseball grip - but he's not particularly confident with any of them.

McIntyre - possibly an avid golfer himself - did not appear too impressed with Yiadom's grip style, claiming multiple times: "He's such a doughnut!"
