It seems hard to believe it was three years ago Bryson DeChambeau rocked up on the PGA Tour looking very much as if he had eaten himself.

It was a remarkable transformation. DeChambeau, 29, bulked up considerably which led to some remarkable gains.

DeChambeau weight gain of some 50lbs led to him becoming the PGA Tour's biggest hitter.

This did yield some tremendous results. He captured his maiden major - the U.S. Open at Winged Foot in 2020 - and later became a star for the U.S. Ryder Cup side that feasted on the ageing European side.

One of his best moments came when he drove the first green at Whistling Straits. DeChambeau blasted his drive more than 350 yards then holed the 41-foot eagle putt as he spanked Sergio Garcia 3&2. It was Garcia's first loss in the format since 2008.

DeChambeau's transformation did come at a huge cost. Last November, DeChambeau explained his bulk was a huge mistake.

At the height of his bulk he said he was consuming nigh on 4,000 calories and downing multiple protein shakes a day.

He told the 5 Clubs Podcast

"I had such huge mood swings from it, I look like I'm 20 again, not 35.
"I ate things that were not great for my system that I was very sensitive to and ultimately it got to the point where it was a little bit too much.
"I ate improperly for almost a year and a half and I was starting to feel weird, my gut was all messed up and so I went completely healthy and went on a Whole-30 diet, got a nutritionist. I was super-inflamed."

Some suggested the 'mood swings' comment meant he was admitting to something else.

DeChambeau previously denied taking PEDs and even made a video to insist he's clean. The video was later deleted.

These days DeChambeau is resembling the fresh-faced young pro that made his PGA Tour debut way back in 2015.

Just check this out:

DeChambeau is certainly looking a lot different these days.

He had a tough 2022 with regards after suffering injuries to his wrist and hip but - like Brooks Koepka - insists he's feeling much healthier.

DeChambeau is yet to win on the rival league.
