Marty Jertson, a senior design engineer for PING, has qualified for this week’s US PGA Championship – and will play with the new G20 irons which he designed.

The 30-year-old earned his place in the season’s final major by finishing in a tie for fifth at the PGA Professional National Championship in June.

Jertson will tee off, using his own brainchild, at the Atlanta Athletic Club at 12.55pm alongside Australian Richard Green and Hiroyuki Fujita of Japan.
