Benross V6 driver for 2007

Two new drivers will emerge from the Benross stable in 2007 as the flagship clubs in a new range of equipment from the Surrey-based company.

The V6 TriMass VMC and V5 460 drivers aim to reinforce the growing attraction to the re-designed Benross brand, which launched a new corporate identity at the golf-Europe trade show in Munich at the weekend.

Benross also launched fairway and rescue clubs to compliment the new drivers, as well as three sets of irons, wedges and putters.

The V6 TriMass VMC driver (£149), will be available in three lofts (9, 10.5 and 14 degree) but only in a right-handed version. It features three moveable weights (with free wrench) to deliver a neutral, draw or fade bias. An Aldila NV65 shaft (regular or stiff flex) is fitted as standard to compliment the lime green flashes on the clubhead

The £99 V5 460 is more suited to the mid to high handicap golfer, with its high launch, low spin ball flight and large sweet spot. It also has a distinctive orange Aldila NVS65 shaft and burnt orange Golf Pride grip (pink for the women’s version). Available in four lofts and well as senior and women’s flex shafts. Left-hand only in 10.5 and 14 degree lofts.

V6 TriMass VMC fairway metals are available in 3-, 4- and 5-wood versions (£99) and similar lime green shafts, while V5 fairway metals cost £79.99 and are available in 3-, 4, 5- and 7-wood models with a range of orange shafts and orange or pink grips for right and left-handers.

The V6 TriMass and V5 brands extend into Escape utility woods for 2007 to replace the Escape 3G models and will have a recommended price of £89.99 and £69.99 respectively. The women’s version of the V5 Escape will cost £49.99 with a lightweight Aldila TM70 shaft and pink grip.
