Complete Ram package

Many new and improving golfers will have been tempted out on our courses and golf ranges by the coverage of Padraig Harrington's stunning Open Championship victory and the recent spell of glorious weather. And Ram Golf, has launched a new package set of clubs to meet the expected demand.

The Ram FX Black, 17-piece set includes a square-head 460cc titanium driver, a square stainless steel fairway wood and two rescue-style clubs designed for optimum forgiveness and accuracy.

The set also includes seven stainless steel cavity-backed irons (from 5-iron to sand wedge) featuring an extended sweetspot for greater forgiveness and a confidence-inspiring mallet putter.

The sets complete with stand bag and matching head covers are available with left and right-handed graphite and steel shaft options, priced at £349 and £299 respectively. There's also a ladies set in graphite with slightly shorter shafts.

Tell us on the forumyour experiences of purchasing a package set of clubs, a putter and a bag. Some even include a trolley. Do you recommend them as a good starter set and what other advice might you offer for those taking up the game for the first time?

And if you've bought a package set of clubs, submit a user review to help other Golfmagic members make informed choices.
