Cobra Golf is celebrating Christmas a week early as staff players Ian Poulter and Lexi Thompson wrapped up their second titles of the season on Sunday.
Poulter delivered the goods with a much-needed three-shot victory at the Australian Masters, while Thompson once again smashed the record books by becoming the youngest professional champion on the Ladies European Tour with a commanding four-shot triumph in Dubai.
The flamboyant Englishman, sporting the Cobra ZL Encore driver and Cobra S3 Pro irons, had full control of his Pro V1x during all four rounds, finding 72.2% of the greens in regulation at Victoria Golf Club.
Featuring cavity-back long and mid-irons, the S3 Pro irons promotes higher launch angles and added forgiveness for consistently long and accurate shots, while the muscle-back short irons endorse optimal shot-making and trajectory control.
The newly-promoted World No.16 certainly provided evidence of that when slam dunking his Pro V1x into the cup for an eagle two on the first hole of his final round. Poulter added a further three birdies and a bogey to see out a comfortable three-shot winning margin.
Meanwhile, Thompson was using the Cobra S2 Forged irons, featuring perimeter weighting and strong lofts that generate nine points across the clubface, increasing distance and accuracy.
