OSCAR JACOBSON'S relationship with the Volvo World Match Play will see all tournament staff, volunteers and marshals at this October’s competition kitted out from its autumn/winter 2014 collection.

Sixteen of the world’s finest golfers will gather at The London Golf Club in Kent from October 15-19 to do battle for the €650,000 top prize over the Nicklaus-designed International course, with Graeme McDowell defending the Volvo World Match Play title he won at Thracian Cliffs in Bulgaria last year.

The Swedish brand’s 2014 autumn/winter collection not only brings the best of Scandinavian style to the fairways, but does so using high-tech, Eco-friendly, performance-enhancing fabrics.

The collection, available in three colour stories - Classic Resort, Contemporary Club and Black Watch - comprises a comprehensive range of long and short-sleeve shirts; turtleneck shirts like the Ron Thermal; 100% extrafine Merino wool sweaters like the Larry and the Kent/Kent Tour with its stylish argyle pattern on the left sleeve; and a number of half-zip tops in a variety of fabrics and styles to suit all weather conditions.

The real beauty of the Oscar Jacobson autumn/winter 2014 collection is that many of the garments can combine to deliver OJ’s three-layer Weather Protection System (WPS) courtesy of base layers that are light and breathable to wick moisture away and regulate temperature, mid-layers that retain body heat while further wicking away moisture, and outer layers that have been designed to repel the weather’s best efforts while allowing you to swing freely still.
