Parry trusts PING Half Pipe and smokes it

PING staffer John Parry credited a smoking hot putter for helping him earn his 2013 European Tour card at the Final Stage of Q-School last week.

Despite playing his first 36 holes at PGA Catalunya in a steady level-par, the 26-year-old from Harrogate caught fire thereafter with rounds of 64, 67, 66 and 70 to run out a deserved four-shot victory on 19-under.

Parry, who is the fourth consecutive English champion of the Final Stage, was sporting a full set of PING clubs, including the new PING Anser driver, i20 and G20 fairway woods, S56 irons, Gorge wedges and trusty Scottsdale Half Pipe putter.

“I’ve been playing well for the last couple of months but the difference last week was my putting,” said the 2010 Vivendi Cup champion.

“I’ve been working hard on all areas of my game but on my putting in particular, so it’s nice that’s paying off.”

The Englishman also strolled home in the comfort and style of Galvin Green apparel, including the Max Tour Edition shirt, West belt and Neville trousers.
