Paruzal Games, the Denver-based, live-hosted, online escape room company announced today the release of Tee Party, a country club-based challenge that was a popular title in the company’s recent virtual escape room tournament.
In Tee Party, gamers assume the role of a newly hired assistant at a country club’s golfing pro shop, tasked with decorating for the boss’s special birthday party. The timed challenge begins when the gamers discover all the decorations have been locked away, and they must solve a series of puzzles to find the key before party guests arrive.
“Tee Party originated as a birthday present one family commissioned us to create for their golf-loving Dad’s 85th birthday,” says Paruzal Founder and CEO, James Warner. “When it was a big hit with the family, we decided to modify it a bit and include it in our recent players’ tournament. It was also popular with tournament participants, so it just made sense to release this game for everyone to enjoy.”
Tee Party’s game time is one hour, and like all Paruzal virtual escape room challenges, this game is the most fun when played with a small group of family members or friends. No special skills or previous escape room experience is necessary. There is a helpful, live, game host to help teams navigate the rooms, describe the scenes, and even dole out hints if the team is feeling stuck. All games are played virtually, using the freely available Zoom video conferencing software.
“While we design all our games with a number of twists and challenges, the number one feature of each scenario is the fun factor,” says Warner. “These games are meant to encourage camaraderie, laughter, and good times as well as a sense of accomplishment. It’s why Tee Party is a great title for golf-lovers and first-timers to try-out how virtual escape rooms work.”
