Harold Varner III breaks PGA Tour record for most consecutive PARS!

Harold Varner III might still be waiting to break his duck on the PGA Tour but he did at least enter the record books on Friday at the Waste Management Phoenix Open - albeit a record he was not particularly enthralled about!

Varner III, 29, agonisingly missed the halfway cut by one stroke at TPC Scottsdale following two rounds of 71. 

However, the incredible thing was that Varner managed to par every single hole of his opening round, before stringing together 14 straight pars on day two only to end his round birdie, bogey, birdie, bogey. 

As a result, Varner III has earned a PGA Tour record for the most consecutive pars in a single tournament with 32.

The previous consecutive par streak in one tournament was held by South Korea's KJ Choi with 27 during the 2005 Bank of America Colonial, which is now known as the Charles Schwab Challenge.
