Collin Morikawa appeared to meet one of his biggest fans after the opening round of the CJ Cup on the PGA Tour at Congaree Golf Club.
Collin Morikawa appeared to meet one of his biggest fans after the first round of the CJ Cup on the PGA Tour.
Morikawa, who carded a 1-under par opening round at Congaree Golf Club in South Carolina, took the time to sign some autographs after his first 18 holes.
And that's where this wholesome moment transpired.

"You're my favourite golfer and I want you to keep this from me to you," the young fan told the 25-year-old two-time major champ, handing over a putter cover.
Morikawa is a little bit taken aback and asked: "You want me to keep this?!"
The golf superstar tries to implore his starstruck fan keep the putter cover after he signs it.

But she is not having it. Not one bit.
Morikawa had to go over to his TaylorMade golf bag and retrieve a golf glove and "trade" his young fan.
But not before Morikawa grabs her signature. Apparently, she left him a note with her Instagram handle inside the cover. And a note.

Morikawa is coming off a largely indifferent 2021-2022 season. He revealed before the FedEx Cup Playoffs a few months ago that he has made some small changes, particularly with his putting.
He has not won since lifting the Claret Jug at the 2021 Open Championship at Royal St. George's.
Morikawa is now ranked No. 9 in the OWGR having previously been as high as No. 2 in the world. He finished 42nd at the ZOZO Championship last week.
He has spent the majority of the last year batting away speculation linking him with a move to the LIV Golf Tour.
