OUTRAGE: Wimbledon commentator COMPARES Coco Gauff's mother to Tiger Woods

Wimbledon tennis commentator Andrew Castle has come under fire on social media over a comment he made comparing Coco Gauff's mother to Tiger Woods. 

Castle, the lead commentator for the BBC's coverage of Wimbledon, made the comment during Gauff's 2-0 defeat to Angelique Kerber on Monday afternoon. 

The remark by the former UK tennis No.1 was then met by total silence by his co-commentator Tracy Austin.

Castle's comment comes off the back of co-commentator and former Wimbledon champion John McEnroe also coming under fire for his comments about English tennis ace Emma Raducanu, who was forced to retire hurt.

He said nothing wrong. He IMO actually showed empathy & spoke of his experiences when very young reaching semi finals..pathetic to call it misogyny. Castle, who is a keen golfer, used to present live golf coverage on Sky Sports Golf back in the day. 

He has also presented on GMTV and Smooth radio. 

Castle also competed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2008 where he was voted out in round seven.
